Privacy Policy

Last updated: TODO

This policy explains how The Tradie Owner (TODO Pty Ltd, ABN TODO) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your business figures in marketing, case studies or testimonials without your express written permission.

Who we share it with

We use third-party providers to run the business. Each receives only what it needs:

Several of these providers store and process data outside Australia — principally the United States (Calendly, Google, Meta, Stripe) and, for Cloudflare and Stripe, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Singapore. Before engaging an overseas provider we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that it handles personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including reviewing its published security and privacy commitments and contracting on its data-processing terms. Financial documents you upload are never sent to advertising or analytics providers.

Information about other people

Your pre-work may contain personal information about your employees or customers — payroll figures, for example, or customer lists. Please remove names and identifiers before sending anything to us; roles and dollar amounts are all we need. We never ask for and will not accept tax file numbers. Where you do provide personal information about someone else, you confirm you are entitled to do so, and we handle it under this policy.

Session recordings

We record sessions only with the express consent of everyone on the call, captured at the start of the recording. You can decline, or ask us to stop at any time. Recordings are held in access-controlled storage, are accessible only to Luke Tadich and the participants of that session, are never used in marketing, and are deleted after 12 months unless you ask us to keep your copy for longer.

How we store it

Financial documents are held in access-controlled storage, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it to deliver your engagement. We keep client records for seven years to meet legal and tax obligations, then delete them. You can ask us to delete uploaded documents earlier and we will, unless we are required to retain them. If you book a call and don't go ahead, we delete your booking details after 24 months.

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Marketing and opting out

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, or by replying "stop". We'll still email you about a booking or an engagement you've asked for.

Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Accessing or correcting your information

Email luke@thetradieowner.com.au to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at the address above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page.
